Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly, transparently, and on the record.

Accuracy is the foundation of trust. When a published piece contains an error of fact, we correct it as quickly as possible and note the correction so the record is clear.

How corrections work

  • Corrections address factual errors. The corrected article is updated and a dated correction note is appended explaining what changed.
  • Clarifications address wording that, while not strictly inaccurate, could mislead. These are also noted on the piece.
  • Updates add new, materially relevant information to a developing story and are dated.

Requesting a correction

If you believe something we published is inaccurate, please reach us through the Contact page with the article title, the specific passage in question, and any supporting information. We review every request and respond as promptly as we can.

Transparency

Corrections are appended to the affected article rather than made silently, and significant corrections are dated. Our broader approach to accuracy and sourcing is described in our Editorial Standards.
